I have a few minutes and thought I’d post about today.  Alisa and I went with Meredith and Angela out for lunch at Panera Bread.  Afterwards, we went back to Meredith’s and spent the rest the afternoon talking around the fireplace.  It was a great way to spend a cool (ok, cold) and snowy afternoon :-)  Yup, the ground is white from last night’s snowfall, and the snow is still lightly falling outside my window here at GBS.

Driving to Timmins the other day, Cameron and I saw this fox along the highway.  When we stopped, it didn’t run away, but rather came closer when I got out of the car!  So, hatchet in hand, Cameron and I were able to get some photos of this normally wild creature!

This afternoon I came across this new trial technology that had been discussed on CBC’s Quirks & Quarks program:

On Saturday I heard an interesting program on our national radio service, CBC.  MIT has a technology available on their site that allows the user to enter a text query to search within specific audio lectures.  I think this could prove very useful when it becomes more widely available:

Mom has a retired missionary friend here from Japan who showed her one way to make a Tofu “meal”.  Here is Mom’s rendition of Tofu, ginger, and green onion with soy sauce sauce:
